Fund-raising for the 2009 elections is now underway

Fund-raising for the South East England Euro Elections is now underway with the launch of the fund-raising section of www.libdems4europe.org.uk.

The website has resources for local parties to setup standing orders and run fund-raising events and for members and supporters to donate by standing order, cheque and credit card.

Darren Briddock treasurer of the Euro Election campaign said "Our fund-raising drive has got off to a flying start. Many thanks to all those local parties who have started donating to the campaign and also to the members and supporters who have signed up for standing orders.

"We have a lot of money to raise but I'm sure that everyone will pull together across the South East Euro Region to help get our talented list of candidates elected.
