Sharon discusses finance with students
As the credit crunch hits home, Sharon Bowles has been meeting with students in Oxford to discuss the financial issues faced by young people living away from home.
Sharon met with students and student advice officers in the Oxford Brookes Student Union last week and discussed how food and rent prices, as well as landlord issues and top-up fees, affect students. They also discussed how students can balance the requirements of their course with working part-time, and sometimes full-time jobs, in order to pay their bills.
Sharon also hosted a stall at the Oxford University Freshers' Fair, where she helped to recruit new students to the University's Liberal Democrats society.
